Review: Neenoo x Kaehla - Feel The Love (Adesso Music)

DJ/producer Neenoo has his first release on Adesso Music and it's got a massive middle eastern vibe on it plus the cool vocals of Kaehla.

Neenoo began his career in Lebanon at Beirut’s top clubs whilst Keahla is based in Dubai.

It would have been interesting to have had a taste of a remix but this is a big tune so we're definitely feeling the love for this one.

There's lots of this middle eastern / kasbah influence around at the moment so "stay tuned" and I'll update so we can get a whole set together.

Review: James Deron – You Don’t Know (JJ ReWork) (Adesso Music)

If you don't know who the "JJ" is here, you've not been following the recent releases on Adesso Music as it's Junior Jack's label.

This is the first time Swiss based James Deron has linked up with JJ after over 20 years of releasing house music on labels such as Nervous, King Street, Purple Tracks, Union Records and many more.

This track actually sounds a bit 'Nervous' rather than ususal Afro-house style but with the added bonus of hints of Northern Soul "oooh, ooohs", strings and vibes, its classic dancefloor!

This follows recent releases like the Deepshakerz remix of Dave Mayer & Deeplomatik's 'House Tribes' (review HERE), 'Colombia' and 'Badman' by Eldeanyo (reviews HERE and HERE).

I suspect this is just the first of many future JD & JJ ventures so stay tuned.

Too heavy for my Valentine's Day radio mix but expect to hear it on every other occasion.

When was the last time you did the Latin shuffle?  Too long ago I bet so lets take a continental shift and get down in Africa with The Deepshakerz as they remix Dave Mayer and Deeplomatik's 'Hustle Tribes'.

In extended and radio edit versions, it's definitely chunkee down on that African jungle dance floors with a touch of Latin too!

Eldeanyo – Colombia (Oliver Knight Remixes) (Adesso Music)

There's lots of different types of Acid about at the moment and here's some more as Oliver Knight remixes Eldeanyo's 'Colombia'.

The 'Acid Reflex' remix sounds like it should be at a World Cup (with proper fans) and it's bouncey and has with squelchy Bailie Funk meets acid house party revival feel.

The original is even more Carnival with a hard Latin edge to it.

Knight seems to be increasingly in demand of late since his recent colabs with Johan S (Toolroom) and Italy's M.F.S Observatory (303Lovers) and since there's early support for this one from MK (AREA10), Claptone, Joris Voorn, Robert Owens and many more, his Bump N Hustle and Back To Ours residencies might be at risk of being too small for him in the future?
