Deep In Your Soul have dug deep into the future of Afro-spirited house with three versions of 'Makukhanye'.

If your still on the Aytiwan & Kaudron & Nes Mburu collaboration on 'Es Vedra' (with the  Chaleee Remix - see review HERE), or anything to do with Aytiwan to be honest (also see HERE), you'll be excited to here that Deep In Your Soul have gone the extra mile after the original version with the atmospheric vocals of Tabia and Nokwazi with some mesmerizing beats and Serengeti synths.

There's two remixes, one from Belgian's Aytiwan (that get a European piano house tilt with some added percussion) and the duo known as the Afro Brotherz who take a 3step approach! (one for the adventurous will a cut-down shuffle).

Review: Aytiwan & Kaudron & Nes Mburu – Es Vedra (incl. Chaleee Remix) (Deep In Your Soul)

We may be on the cusp of the annual migration of millions of animals that travel across the Serengeti into Kenya’s Maasai Mara in pursuit of greener pastures, but could it be that they've been beckoned by the enchanting vocals Kenya's Nes Mbue?

Aytiwan and Kaudron's new collaboration has all the Afro house soul of previous releases on DIYS, like Nico Efstratiou's 'Ndibize' featuring Athimux that included Aytiwan and Mahandana remixes (see review HERE) so it could have easily been the standout track on this release as it is as dreamy as 'Es Vedra' itself; being an island off the southern coast of Ibiza that is blessed with myths and legends.

 

However, another new name to us, Chaleee is on the remix and puts the track into Dutch after hours party in which the beasts are on the run by big trance like synths and tribal percussion.

That said, both tracks and hypnotic and coming to a dancefloor near you soon.

Review: Nico Efstratiou feat. Athimux - Ndibize (incl. Aytiwan, Mahandana Remixes) (Deep In Your Soul)

Afro House to go with South Africa's Nico Efstratiou's latest single 'Ndibize' featuring the vocal talents of Athimux.

The original version is a perfect soulful balance of the pair's talents to get the new year started.

The release also has two mega remixes from Aytiwan  (who you will recall was called on to do the remix for David Hopperman's 'Mire' (including a Diamond Dealer Remix)(see review HERE) who elongates the track and adds a mystical tension.

The Mahandana remix is currently our favourite as it's deep in percussive ambience (Ed. is that because it's over 7 minutes long?)

Must find out if Belgium international Youri Tielemans (and currently a Lion) is a fan of Afro-house, would love to DJ at his Xmas/New Year Party next year.

Review: David Hopperman – Mire (incl. Aytiwan, Diamond Dealer Remixes)(Deep In Your Soul)

When you're deep in the 'Mire', David Hopperman reached out to Deep In Your Soul to save him, from the leopard?

Well, perhaps not the leopard in the photo of the cover artwork but 'Mire', in original version with Aytiwan and Diamond Dealer remixes is something high on the list of "like it" - I hope that's the vocal?

If you're after Afro-house with Italo-Latin jazzdance influences, the original version is the one for you.

The Aytiwan is more of a stripped version with added synth swirl-bang and the 8 minute Diamond Dealer synthy bounce makes this an EP you can't ignore. 

Following on from the 'Kalaga EP' by PA NGU featuring Lhue Ntuza (another one with an Aytiwan remix, see review HERE) you can pick any version of 'Mire' to keep the dancefloor moving this fall.

Reveiw: PA NGU feat. Lhue Ntuza – Kalanga EP (Deep In Your Soul)

If you're thinking what's the equivalent of Belgium's Remco Evenepoel when it comes to Afro House record label's (Ed. and who hasn't), we know know it's Deep In Your Soul as they release this stunner from PA NGU featuring the incredible vocals of Lhue Ntuza. 

The original mix of 'Ndiyahamba' is so good you might be tempted not to bother with the remixes, but dispell that thought immediately as Da Lee LS (from Lesotho) spins out a mostly instrumental post-JMJ version that keeps the tension rolling.

And there's more as Nruza's Xhosa vocals are as equal prominent on the other track 'Luthando' with a busy remix by Aytiwan (Bel) which is likely to appear in playlists like Blackcoffee and closer to home DJs Bob Hill, Andy Garvey and our own, Sumsuch..

PS. Don't be put off by the artwork; apparently it's a wily creature called a  Capybara (Kalanga)
