Another new name on us as Kibbi Gibbon is still dreamin' of getting a brand new 7" on the fabulous Star Creature label out of Chicago

Title: 'Girl UR Freaky', 7" released early this month (see review HERE), Star Creature have gone and got a bit leftfield with this one at first glance as Georgy Whistler (aka Kibbi Gibbon) is better known as a hip-hip producer from Frieburg (more commonly known as the Black Forest home of Mr Root Down, Rainer Trüby); not your normal Star Creature then?
Well, when you find out that this is a teaser single ahead of a collaborative album he's working on with co-head honcho of the label Tim Zawada. Not only that, 'Still Dreamin'' inself starts off sounding a bit funky Clarke/Duke project with as leaning towards the BRUK of Alexander Nut before hitting the "spaced-out jazz-funk, synth-boogie hybrid" full on.
Fans of lovetemp (he of the recent Live Or Die By Love EP on Toucan Sounds (see review HERE) will have noted how excited Gilles Peterson was about his sound which does take inspiration from UK jazz funk and the b-side, 'Declaration' is a more of a funky downtempo instrumental verson with some added sax candy.

So not only is the single and future album sounding hot, if you've mixed Tim's new monthly show on OpenLab Radio that started recently (every last Thursday on the month) and his first show opened with 'Declaration' along with other YATM favourites like Igor Jadranin (see review HERE) and Stimulator Jones (see review HERE).
